The Tools & Supplies Behind Every Workbook I Publish
Every workbook I put on Amazon starts long before it’s a finished book — it starts with a stack of supplies on my desk. People ask me all the time what I actually use to plan, test, and print my workbooks before they go live, so here’s the honest list.
Planning & Drafting
Before anything goes near a template, I work it out by hand. A dot-grid notebook lets me sketch page layouts without committing to software yet, and a simple set of page-numbering tabs keeps multi-section workbooks straight while I’m figuring out the order.
Testing a Physical Proof
A workbook has to work on paper, not just on screen — so I always print a proof copy before publishing. A reliable home printer and a ream of the same paper weight KDP uses means what I check at my desk is what a reader actually gets.
Workspace Setup
Hours of formatting checks are easier on a second monitor, and a laptop stand has saved my neck more than anything else on this list.
